Q4967 Amish Sunshine & Shadows. More pictures C1935-1940, Lancaster Co., PA. Authentic, fine quality, early example in wonderful colors and fabrics. The borders and corner blocks are made of fine wool chalis in deep burgundy, and two shades of blue. The center squares are a variety of fabrics (wool, cotton, sateen, crepe). One and one/half-inch tape binding in blue. Quilted in traditional patterns: cross-hatching though the center squares; intricate feather chain in the outer border, and a meandering floral vine in the inner border. Quilted in black thread at 8-9 stitches per inch. Blue plaid back. Excellent condition (no wear, fading, moth holes); just one small spot (see photo). 78x78. $2500

Q2270A Mennonite Brickwall Trip Around the World. More pictures. C1910, PA. Colors are brilliant. Treadle machine pieced "bricks" measure 1.75" x 3.50". Repeating fabrics include blue calico, solid teal blue, yellow calico, cheddar, double pink, and solid turkey red. Three borders in green calico and double pink. Beautiful print back. Separately applied red binding. Quilted by the piece at 7-8 stitches per inch. Thin batting. Excellent condition. A few small spots. Washed. 77.5 x 92. $625
Q2849 Double Nine Patch. More pictures. C1880 OH. Nine patches are made with early browns, rusts, and greens set with a brick red small check. Straight line quilting every 3/4 inch at 6 stitches per inch. Good condition. Washed. One small mend about 1/4x3/8 inch in the border. 64x70 $260
